HosmartAI will create a common open Integration Platform with the necessary tools to facilitate and measure the benefits of integrating digital technologies (robotics and AI) in the healthcare system. HosmartAI main goal is to boost a strong, efficient, sustainable and resilient European healthcare system.
Pilot 6 system inserted in the HosmartAI platform
HosmartAI Virtual coach for a continuity of care is one of the eight pilot solutions in the EU-funded project HosmartAI (Innovative platform for robotics and AI technology integration, GA.101016834) dedicated to fill the gap in systematizing information collection from the patient journey to allow greater degree of personalization and supporting decision.
The integration with the HosmartAI central hub (providing Marketplace, co-creation space, and Benchmarking tools), ensuring FAIR principles for data sharing, will facilitate data analysis on the effectiveness of the pilot solution involving AI and robotics on elderly care, and comparability with other systems with similar characteristics for continuous improvement.
An integrated platform for customisable health and wellness services
The “Virtual coach for a continuity of care” aims to keep older adults at home for longer, promoting a more active and healthy life, while supporting the neuro-rehabilitation processes through service modules for risk detection, personal data record, therapeutic session’s management, a blockchain approach and social assistive robots by evidence on the positive effect on care plans adherence. Like this, the pilot 6 system is used as a screening and intervention tool, in order to detect and prevent emotional, physical and cognitive impairment. It can be applied through a simple tablet (android or iOS) or a social robot like Pepper.
GRADIOR in the integrated platform
The GRADIOR Stimulation, developed by Fundación INTRAS (located in Spain), is one of the platforms being integrated in systems like HosmartAI’s “Virtual coach for a continuity of care”. GRADIOR allows for a holistic approach to intervention that considers the different dimensions of the person. Neuropsychological evaluation and rehabilitation system for carrying out training programmes in people with deficits and/or cognitive impairment.
The planned large-scale pilot will focus in evaluate the usability, acceptance and usefulness of HosmartAI in a sample of 160 older adults and 20 healthcare professionals and informal caregivers, and will follow Quasi-experimental methodology will be used, with a control group with pre-test and post-test.
